NBC Bank was organized by Walter B. Gover and chartered as a state bank on August 1, 1931. In November of 1933, NBC Bank became a National Bank under a federal charter. Today, over 75 years later, NBC Bank has nine locations throughout Oklahoma. and is now a state charted bank.
Under the leadership of Chairman C. Kendric Fergeson, NBC Bank has expanded across the state of Oklahoma. First, was the purchase of Enid in 1989; a bank in Kingfisher was added in 1992; and in 1995, a financial institution in Oklahoma City was purchased under a second charter which was expanded to Nichols Hills in 1997. NBC moved it original charter from Altus to Tulsa after opening an office in 1998.
Tangible benefits for its customers and a single set of regulatory requirements were attained when NBC Oklahoma was created as Tulsa and Oklahoma City were merged in August 2008. Its corporate headquarters is located in Oklahoma City.
